PROGRESS MADE TOWARD FINALIZING AC TRANSIT’S ALL-NEW WARD MAP CREATION
The Board is fine-tuning maps and encourages public participation during final two workshops
OAKLAND, Calif. – The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) continues its redistricting process toward transitioning to a new seven-ward election system. At the public hearing held on October 4, AC Transit's demographer presented the Board of Directors several draft maps. Following robust public input, the Board has issued guidance to refine the draft plans, moving closer to creating a final map of the new wards.
We strongly encourage public participation in the map refinement process. To facilitate this, AC Transit will host two final community workshops where AC Transit riders and community members can gain insights into the process, examine draft maps, pose questions, and provide feedback on the draft maps:
October 12 at 6:30 p.m. – via Zoom https://usO2web.zoom.us/j/85673797879
