AC TRANSIT RESTORES ALL 600-SERIES BUS LINES (SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICES) TO SCHOOLS ACROSS OAKLAND
OUSD teachers will return to classrooms districtwide on May 16
OAKLAND, Calif. – The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) received notice from the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) that an agreement has been reached with the Oakland Education Association (OEA), ending its labor strike.
OUSD also advises that its teachers will return to classrooms districtwide on Tuesday. As a result, AC Transit will resume normal operations of all supplementary bus line services to schools for the start of the school day Tuesday, May 16.
The full resumption of supplementary service includes Lines 642, 646, 649, 650, 653, 655, 660, and 677, serving Montera Middle School on-site.
Lines 617, 638, 646, 648, 649, 652, 654, 658, and 662, serving Skyline High School, will restore boarding and exiting on campus.
Also restored are the school day-only trips for Lines 33 and 51A.
AC Transit's field transportation staff will be on location to assist with the rider needs of these restored bus lines.
