AC TRANSIT TRANSBAY BUS LINES TEMPORARILY CEASES ALL SAN FRANCISCO SERVICE
All westbound Transbay bus lines will stop at West Oakland BART
OAKLAND, Calif. – The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) alerts riders that all eastbound Transbay lines have temporarily ceased operations from the Salesforce Transit Center.
The California Highway Patrol has advised that a big-rig truck has overturned and is currently blocking all but one lane of the lower deck of the Bay Bridge.
AC Transit Transbay riders are encouraged to avoid the Salesforce Transit Center and instead use BART for any return commutes to the East Bay. AC Transit lines operating within the East Bay are running without delay.
All westbound Transbay bus lines will stop at West Oakland BART, where riders are asked to exit and use BART into San Francisco.
AC Transit will continue to monitor this disruption in Transbay bus line service and will provide up-to-the-minute service updates via Twitter @rideact and @ACTransitMedia.
