FINAL DRAFT REALIGN NETWORK PLAN PUBLIC HEARINGS, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11

September 10,2024

The final hearings will take place in-person or virtually at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) is holding its final hybrid Public Hearings, both virtual and in-person, providing riders and community members the chance to share their input on the proposed service changes outlined in the Draft Realign Network Plan.

Realign is the result of years of development and public outreach. It is a comprehensive review of all AC Transit bus routes, addressing the significant shifts in ridership and commuting patterns since the pandemic. The goal of Realign is to establish a new, equity-centered bus network that enhances ridership and service reliability.

The final Public Hearings will take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Those who wish to provide feedback on the Draft Realign Network Plan in person can do so in the 2nd Floor Board Room at AC Transit's General Office, 1600 Franklin Street, Oakland, California 94612.

Participants who wish to provide their final input virtually can join at either 2:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. via the following Zoom link: https://actransit.zoom.us/j/98487175063; phone (669) 900 6833; webinar ID 984 8717 5063.

Interpreting services will be available at the hearings in Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin. For Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD), please call 711 through the California Relay Service and provide the number (510) 891-4700.

To avoid potentially long wait times for live comments at the hearings, the public is encouraged to submit comments in writing to Realign@actransit.org. Participants can also leave voice messages with their input at the following numbers: English (510) 267-5631; Spanish (510) 267-5632; Mandarin (510) 267-5633; and Cantonese (510) 267-5634.

Riders and the communities we serve should note that while the final Public Hearings will be conducted before the Board of Directors, no decisions will be made during Wednesday’s hearings. This session is solely for gathering final public feedback and data collection.
