Board of Directors Continues Line 60 & 78 Pilots for One Year

Thank you to all those who submitted comments and participated in the public hearing regarding the proposed continuation of pilot service for local bus lines 60 & 78.  After hearing your feedback, on April 28, 2022, the AC Transit Board of Directors voted to approve one-year extensions of both pilots.

Service on the Line 60 extension along Hesperian Boulevard and Tennyson Road between Chabot College and South Hayward BART will continue through December 2023. The Line 78 pilot service will continue through June 2023.

Line 78 is timed with peak direction Seaplane Lagoon ferry trips and runs to the ferry from Fruitvale BART along Santa Clara Street, Webster Street, and Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway.
